Meet 5 Beauty Queens Representing Africa at This Year's Miss Universe
They're all so pretty.
Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant run by the United States based Miss Universe Organization. It is by far one of the most watched beauty pageants in the world with an estimated audience of over 500 million viewers across over 190 territories. This year’s edition, the 69th edition – Miss Universe 2020 will be held on May 16, 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Because of the pandemic, some national pageants were either delayed or cancelled indefinitely and as a result of that, some countries will not be able to participate in the pageant this year. Some African countries who won’t be participating in this year’s Miss Universe include Angola, Egypt, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
But just because a lot of African countries won’t be present this year doesn’t mean that Africa as a continent won’t be present. Here are 5 beauty queens that will representing Africa in this year’s contest.
