----FAMOUS VIDEOS----

The ongoing competition of The Hundred has indeed lived up to the expectations. Batsmen, bowlers and fielders have been giving absolutely everything for their respective teams.

The 100-ball competition has been nothing short of entertaining. At the same time, the tournament has also witnessed bizarre incidents that caught the attention of the cricket fraternity.

Earlier, a wicketkeeper by the name of Tom Moores made the headlines for his positioning. When Rashid Khan was bowling, the wicketkeeper stood far away from the stumps.

The bizarre wicketkeeping took us all by surprise and it was the most talked-about incident on social media. Meanwhile, there was yet another incident that caught everyone’s attention.

The incident took place during the 22nd match between Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets at Kennington Oval in London. Earlier, the rain played its part and thus spoiling some fun during the game.

As the rain stopped, the match was reduced to 65 balls per side due to a wet outfield. Trent Rockets skipper Lewis Gregory won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 116/8 in their quota of 65 balls. Lewis Gregory top-scored with 28 off 12 balls including 4 fours and a six.

Alex Hales gets hit in the groin twice

Getting hit in the groin can be a painful experience. Trent Rockets’ batsman Alex Hales ran through a terrible experience as he got hit in the groin not once but twice.

Playing against left-arm pacer Reece Topley, Hales got hit in the groin once and subsequently fell on the ground. He was screaming in pain before the physio rushed to the field to help him out.

Soon after that, he got hit in the same area by the same pacer Topley, in what was a very rare occurrence. Alex Hales scored 25 off 15 balls including 3 fours and a six. Oval Invincibles lost the game by 9 runs despite Jason Roy’s 59 off 29 (4 fours, 4 sixes).

______________________ANOTHER STORY FROM HERE_______

England pacer James Anderson ran in jubilation at Trent Bridge after dismissing India skipper Virat Kohli for a golden duck on the second day of the first Test. It was an ‘unusual’ experience for the 39-year-old who had just equalled Anil Kumble’s tally of 619 Test wickets.

The team, however, imploded in the second session. Cheteshwar Pujara survived a close LBW call with a review. On the other hand, KL Rahul struck a composed fifty at the other end.

India started the day on 21-0 after 13 overs, the openers had held off a late burst by the English bowlers to escape unscathed and take the day’s play in their favour. The pacers stole the show at Trent Bridge earlier after blowing out England for 183.

Anderson getting Kohli for a first-ball duck was a sigh of relief for England as the hosts were struggling to breach the solid opening stand put by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul before lunch. Ollie Robinson got Rohit and then it was Jimmy who got Pujara and then Kohli on consecutive deliveries, that too, in a similar fashion. From 97/1 at the stroke of lunch to 112/4 in the second session, the visitors suddenly found themselves in a spot to bother.

After the rain played the spoilsport and forced early stumps, Anderson spoke about the moment that pumped confidence in the veins of English players – Kohli’s wicket.

“I feel like I’ve challenged Virat in that area before. He either played or missed or left it. He’s always been good enough to sort of get through and today it was just one of those days where he nicked it. Getting Kohli out that early was quite unusual,” Anderson said at the end of the day's play.

Speaking about his elated celebration, Anderson said, “He’s such a big wicket. To bowl the ball exactly where I wanted it to and for him to nick it as well. It was just an outpouring of emotions to get the team back into the game. Getting their best player out is something that doesn't happen all that often.”

Anderson revealed that the strategy was to bowl to the Indians on the fourth stump line that paid dividends as he got Cheteshwar Pujara (4) and Kohli off successive deliveries to swing the match in their favour.

“To be honest it’s not really something that we thought about too much, particularly to him. What we try to do as a group is trying to challenge that fourth stump area, the defence as much as possible. Obviously to get a couple of quick ones like that is really important, especially with Virat being such an influential player for them. Always good to get him early,” Anderson said.

India are 125/4 with KL Rahul (57*) and Rishabh Pant (7*) at the crease and the visitors are trailing by 58 runs in the first innings before an early stump was called due to rain.
