Magical Marvel Moments that Made Phase 2 a Massive Success
Last week I wrote about the magical moments that made Phase One a huge success for Marvel Studios. This week, I want to talk about Phase Two. After The Avengers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe changed dramatically; Aliens had just invaded New York for all to see. The heroes of the MCU had to change their outlook too - particularly Iron Man, who had recurring dreams about his foray into outer space with the nuke. But what were the stand out moments from Phase Two? Let's find out!

With the return of Superman to the little screen in the form of Tyler Hoechlin on Supergirl and Henry Cavill as the big blue wonder on the big screen, I thought it would be prudent to do a roundup of all the actors who have ever played the boyscout ranked in the order of greatness.

The 6 Inspirational Lessons 'The Polar Express' Can Teach Us All
Twelve years ago #ThePolarExpress chugged into cinemas in style. The Polar Express is a live action and animated film with the main star being Tom Hanks. The film follows the journey of a disillusioned little boy, jump on board a magical train in his pyjamas, and heads supposedly to "The North Pole" to meet Santa Claus. The film certainly takes its viewers on a bumpy and icy ride, from almost drowning in a lake to tumbling down never-ending shoots which land directly in Santa's workshop. However, there's one thing that stands in the little boy's way; "the end of the magic", as he no longer believes in Santa Claus and realises all of his faith has gone. It isn't long until he meets the ghost of the Polar Express who taunts him by telling him that everyone he knows will take him for a fool or duped. Towards the end of the film, the conductor asks this boy to BELIEVE and not let anyone judge him for believing in Santa Claus or anything else mythical or something from a story. The boy remembers this and follows this instinct to believe for the rest of the film.

Opioid Crisis and Trap Music
Is a popular sub-set of hip hop music called "trap" guilty of contributing to the United States opioid epidemic? That's the question many politicians, music activists, youth groups, and students are asking. For the last 10 years, the U.S. law enforcement and drug treatment facilities have been battling with a powerful rise of opioid use, abuse, and addiction. "Opioids are substances that act on opioid receptors to produce morphine-like effects. Medically they are primarily used for pain relief, including anesthesia." - Wikipedia

What's the Deal with the MCU and Secret Identities?
Ever since they began, superheroes have always had a secret identity, a means to relax and get away from their responsibilities as heroes. Many heroes will use their civilian identity to attempt to live a normal life, while also protecting the people around them from immediate danger from their double life. Each hero has their own way of doing this. Some wear masks, some physically transform and others adopt completely different mannerisms to back up the ruse. A secret identity, and the double life that goes along with it, is one of the most basic superhero tropes, but the MCU has a different approach.

5 Cancelled Shows That Need to Be Restarted Via Netflix
This is the golden age of television. No doubt about it. But in this age of amazing t.v shows like Game of Thrones, Agents of Shield, House of Cards etc there are also lesser t.v shows that have been unfortunately cancelled due to the ineptitude of the viewing audience. Ratings are now king these days and some genuinely good shows go down the drain due to the general dumbness of the viewing public. Even a show as worthy as Star Trek suffered from bad ratings, but you don't cancel a show just because of that. It picked up later in syndication. With Netflix, we now have the opportunity to revive shows on the streaming giant, and here I submit my top list of shows that need to be revived.
