What Could Have Been: Treasure Planet 2
You might remember the Disney movie Treasure Planet, or you might not, because it's never really achieved the same level of fame as the rest of the Disney pantheon - but not because it was a bad movie. It was a hybrid 2D/CGI updated version of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island' - in space! With classic sailing-ship-looking crafts that sailed in an airy space atmosphere called the Etherium. It had a blend of Celtic-sounding music with some 90's grunge songs (by Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik) mirroring the steampunk-ish vibe of old-meets-"new," and brought in an element of parental abandonment and found family.

And now the series looks set to enter a new frontier of representation in Star Trek Beyond!

It’s Here! 'Pokemon GO' Is Finally Available: Here’s How To Become The Greatest Trainer
We’ve been waiting, for what seems like forever our chance to catch our favorite Pokemon in ‘real’ life. Now, thanks to Niantic Labs and Nintendo, we finally have our chance to be an actual Pokemon trainer – and it’s AMAZING! News hit yesterday stating that Pokemon Go was available in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. For the rest of us in other areas of the world we waited patiently, and then it happened (at least for the US) at 9PM Eastern Standard Time, and we could officially download the game from both Google Play for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices.

Fantastic Static Shock Fan-Made Mini-Series in the Making!
I find cool fan-made things on the internet all the time, and nothing makes me happier than seeing dedicated and talented fans push the borders of what's possible in art, cosplay, and in this case, films. I've been a fan of Static for years, and it just made me extra happy seeing him get some love in this amazing form.
