Must Try Harder; How the United Kingdom Could Win Eurovision Again
Oh, Eurovision: a guilty pleasure to some, a complete indulgence to others. Arguably (and most definitely in my eyes) the biggest music contest in the world, it is an enigma of sorts. It exists in its own bubble, one that’s both enjoyed and sneered at simultaneously. To some regions, it is the highlight of the year and entrants are mega stars. In my country, it’s an excuse to get plastered on cheap gin, generally make a mockery of other nationss ideas of musical taste, and wonder why nobody is giving us the famous 12 points (who wouldn’t vote for Engelbert Humberdinck?).
I Am Not
I am NOT your daughter. I am NOT your sister. I am NOT your girlfriend. I need you to understand this. I have told you many times before. I am Dean, not my birth name. I have told you so many times before I'm NOT your little girl. I'm NOT your friend who's going through a phase. Not when this phase has been with me since before I was ten. I am NOT confused. I am NOT something you can just play with. I have feelings too. I am NOT as tough as I wish I was. Please understand I AM a guy. I AM capable of being understanding to you too. I do NOT want to be a girl. I WILL be a guy. I WILL tell you what I want to be. I HOPE you'll except me for ME.

I know some of you can relate When I say I feel like I'm drowning When they say there's always an open path But it's like I'm in a forest and I see 10 paths ahead of me

Placed on the wrong shelf in my local bookshop, Miracles of Life: Shanghai to Shepperton: An Autobiography was wedged in-between cookery books. The red sticker on the front showed it to be reduced down to a mere pound as it sat on the other side of the store from the sale section where it had obviously come from. The shiny new pound coin that sat in the bottom of my purse had found its calling.

With your passionate soul, and your careless mind you run freely still, you are not freed from this — doomed world, filled with emotionless souls —

Imagine a flower. It's beautiful right? So colorful and bright. Am I right? Maybe for some and maybe not for others.
