Sleep
I get my daughter to bed at a very decent time. Exhausted to the point where I'll drop like a dime, I lay in bed. I toss and I turn in an abyss of pillows and sheets. I can't get comfortable, I can't go to sleep, not with this feeling of paranoia that's too deep.
Movie Review: 'Lipstick Under My Burkha'
“You know what our problem is? We dream too much?” That quote is devastating. It comes from the movie Lipstick Under My Burkha from writer director Alankrita Shrivastava. It’s a remarkable film about four wonderful characters staring into the face of oppression and still trying to live their dreams. Lipstick is only Shrivastava’s second directorial feature and yet she directs with the surety and beauty of a veteran filmmaker. Her eye and ear are perfectly in tune to her characters, who each have big beautiful beating hearts.

Today was meant for flying. Today there are no tears for crying. Today I am going to shine. Today I am no longer blind. I am a barer of light. I am the cold darkness of night. You may never even see the beauty inside my soul. I am the thing you cannot break. I am something you shouldn't put down. I'll be gone. I have made a decision. Now the thought leaves my mind. You are a memory. A point in time. The wind is just whispering. Today was meant for shining. I don't need the answer. I don't need to question why. There is nothing that I cannot take. I know in my heart. I am the one that would not break. Today I'm out flying, shining, today I am the lightning.

When we are distant with people we don't show them much other than a smile and a hand wave and a polite greeting When people become close to us we start showing them ugliness,
