Trump and The LGBT Lie
If there's one thing that Trump can be counted on for, it’s lying and not keeping his word. Has this man kept his word on anything that he promised during the 2016 Presidential campaign? Mexico isn’t paying for the wall, the trade war that he initiated has hurt the very people he swore to protect, and he has the most anti-LGBT administration in more than 30 years. Remember that moment during the Republican National Convention when he swore that he would be a strong advocate for the gays? According to former press secretary, Sean Spicer, it was lip service to make sure he was handed the nomination.

It was bad enough that the election was stolen from the rightful winner, but Hillary made mistakes too. She got cocky and figured she had it in the bag and could help the down ticket. What’s worse is you told us that the election was rigged and your followers blew up thinking you meant that it was in favor of Hillary. “But her emails” followed every argument against her becoming President. Apparently, we were supposed to just forget that one ex-wife accused you of rape and that you lied and insulted your way to the Republican nomination. That’s just another day in the world of Donald J Trump, right?
Edward AndersonPublished 6 years ago in The SwampWhy Trump Loves Putin
Blackmail has often been cited, sometimes along with gratitude for the help Russia gave him in the 2016 election, as the reason Trump so adheres to Putin, as seen again in the Helsinki press conference today.
Paul LevinsonPublished 6 years ago in The SwampWhy Illegal Immigrants Should Not Be Illegal
While many people are avid believers that illegal immigrants should remain illegal, a whopping 72 percent of Americans believe that all immigrants should be able to stay following proper documentation. Many people seem to think that when fellow Americans support illegal immigrants, it is some type of betrayal against America. Not true.
The Darkest SunrisePublished 6 years ago in The SwampThey Just Don't Get It
It's been 531 days since Donald Trump was sworn in as our commander in chief, and every single one has been doused in controversy. The right will convince you that your feminist, liberal ideas are a product of a lack of parenting, and the left will have you believing that everything is a conspiracy. The truth is much darker, and much more complicated than many can understand.
Open Letter to the Media
To Fellow Members of the Media: There is an issue that can no longer be ignored. It’s not that Susan Lucci isn’t the Oscar-Winner that she should be, though that is an issue for another day, the issue lies in the White House. Unfortunately, that was an unintended pun. Trump has many Americans believing that every news source that reports negatively on him is fake news. How can we solve this problem?

The Trump administration focused on two primary talking points this past Friday: Jesus is fine with separating families who are fleeing horrific conditions. Americans should honor President Trump when he speaks with the same reverence as the North Koreans are required to demonstrate.

Dear Donald, I’ve been putting off writing you this. I’ve been waiting for you to come around, but by now I’ve realized, that isn’t going to happen. And honestly that hurts me.
Alesia BrooksPublished 6 years ago in The SwampUS/North Korea Summit: Historic Agreement Would Be First of Many Steps to Peace
The impending meeting of Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un is arguably one of the most significant in modern times. It shows either that old enemies are genuinely willing to discuss issues in person around a table rather than go to war, or perhaps it is the realisation that a war of the nuclear kind would crown no side ‘the winner.’
Patrick HollisPublished 6 years ago in The SwampDear Donald
Many people have their different opinions on President Donald J. Trump. Some believe that he is a monster for securing our borders or for refusing to acknowledge gay pride month. Some believe that he is improving this country more and more with every passing moment. Whatever their opinions may be, President Trump keeps standing for what he believes in, and he is doing everything he can to make this country the best it can be. As for my opinions, here is what I would like for my president to know:
Anna Lee VaughnPublished 6 years ago in The SwampCraziest Pro-Trump Fan Art on the Internet
The internet is littered with pro-Trump fan art. Some of it is crudely photoshopped, other bits are political cartoons, and there are even painstakingly made portraits that reveal significant talent on the part of their creators. Too bad all this effort is going to lift up The Worst of Us! At least this stuff can give us a laugh so long as we don't think about the ways in which these values have already been expressed in American policy and culture for hundreds of years. Whoops; I put that awareness in your head! Ba-Zinga!
Ben KharakhPublished 6 years ago in The SwampDivorce in the Age of Trump
In December of 2016, Time Magazine, citing research from the National Center for Family and Marriage Research, reported that divorce rates had plummeted to a forty-year low and that marriage rates were on the rise. However, less than a year later news outlets began to reporton a Wakefield Research study whose findings painted a very different picture of the state of American romance. It seems that the tides were turning (again), and not in a good way.
