Vice-President on the Death of Henry Nowak.

The murder of an English young man, Henry Nowak, at the hands of a Sikh youth bore all the hallmarks of the death of George Floyd. Nowak lay dying on the floor and said, as Floyd did, "I can't breathe". Police handcuffed him as his Sikh attacker accused him of being racist, and Nowak bled out. At first, the police didn't believe him that the Sikh had stabbed him with a ceremonial blade known as a Kirpan. Sikhs are allowed to carry these holy blades as it is part of the 5 Ks of what it is to be a Sikh. However, other communities cannot understandably carry blades under British law, but Sikhs, because of their faith, can. For me, if blades are part of someone's faith, then they should be retained for ceremonial services or events only.

By the time the police had found out that Nowak had been stabbed, it was too late. There followed riots in Southampton in support of Nowak and what many see as "two-tier policing". Two-tier policing is the difference between how police treat Native Brits and migrants or their descendants. In many cases, some say police treat migrants or their descendants more favourably and with kid gloves, as opposed to the more unfair treatment meted out to Native Brits. Now obviously, if we take a name like Nowak, that's hardly Anglo-Saxon, and like his Sikh attacker, Nowak would be the descendant of migrants. So in that sense, both the Sikh and Nowak are descendants of immigrants. That said, many Native Brits are angry and at the fact that Nowak was a white European who was treated less favourably than his Sikh attacker and accuser.

During the disturbances in Southampton, anti-Muslim stalwart Tommy Robinson put his pennyworth in. Blaming migration as he always does, and then turned back to attack Muslims when Mr. Nowak's attacker was a Sikh. Tommy Robinson is a man who is a hero to some and a trouble- maker to others. Others have put their pennyworths in too. Reform UK's Nigel Farage lambasted the police in parliament for not believing Mr. Nowak. The death of Mr. Nowak is like gold dust to the far-right, and I would hope they would not make political capital out of this tragedy, but they will have, and they have.

The Sikh community in Britain have a long record of loving-kindness to any community. Their kitchens serve food and drink in their Guardwaras (temples) open to anyone of any faith, race, nationality, etc. The Sikh faith stresses belief in God and that all paths lead to God. While the majority of Sikhs are of Punjabi origin, you will find white Sikhs, black Sikhs, and others. Faith today has nothing to do with your ethnic origins. Many UK Sikhs have spoken out about the actions of this rogue youth who ended Mr. Nowak's life. The youth himself will now spend 21 years behind bars for this offence. Some say that for what he did, he should have been given a longer sentence. One has to wonder if Nowak would have been the attacker and the Sikh youth the victim, would Nowak, being a European, have been given a longer sentence? Of course, what I am doing is playing with far-right speculation and conspiracy theories, and I would indulge it no more.

Mr. Nowak, the Father of the slain Henry, called for peace and for no one to show violence. This is a very noble path to take, given that the Nowak family had lost their beloved son on a night out. But there will sadly be and understandably so hotheads who will want to seek revenge on Sikhs, but this path leads to tit for tat, and that's no way to go. If there is "two-tier policing", then there should not be. Are we not all equal before the law? If there are genuine cases where Native Brits or Europeans are treated less favourably than others, that is not right and should be addressed and corrected. If not, the far-right will grow, and it will lead to divisions on our streets, the very thing Labour says it wants to avoid. Reform UK is already on track to be the next government, and as scary as that is to some, it is inevitable that such parties will grow when the native population feels they are being cancelled and not listened to.

Elon Musk has intervened and called the policing of how Nowak was treated as opposed to his Sikh attacker "two-tier policing". Vice-President JD Vance has also stated that the above case represents "two-tier policing". Mr. Vance, whose wife happens to be a Hindu while he is a Christian, has said that had European elites been tougher on migration and not so self- hating, events like what happened to Mr. Nowak would not have happened or be so widespread.
