Bibi Will Be Arrested: Peter Magyar.
Maygyar: Hungary will not leave the International Criminal Court.

Netanyahu has lost a champion in Viktor Orban. Like Netanyahu, Orban was a figure seen by many as being on the extreme right. Orban was in power for 16 years. However, his reign has been ended by a more moderate right-winger: Peter Magyar.
Mr. Magyar may be right-wing and anti-immigrant, but he has committed to stopping Hungary from leaving the International Criminal Court (or ICC). This means that should Bibi set foot in Hungary, he will be arrested and brought to trial under Mr. Magyar's administration. It's one thing for Peter Magyar to say he does not support Bibi, unlike his predecessor Viktor Orban. And, he has drawn a line between himself and Orban when it comes to supporting Netanyahu. We now know which side of the fence Magyar stands. Paradoxically, however, now that Magyar has announced his opposition to Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister will never set foot in Hungary. Which means that Hungary will not be able to arrest and detain the Israeli prime minister. Conversely, Mr. Netanyahu has lost a big supporter in Viktor Orban and on the world stage, that counts. Like Putin before him, Netanyahu is now limited to countries he can visit lest he be arrested by countries that support the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court in 2024.
So what exactly does the ICC want Bibi for? The ICC issued an arrest warrant for the Israeli Prime Minister for crimes against humanity carried out in Gaza. That's not to excuse the awful crimes of Hamas against Israeli civilians committed on Oct 7. That said, Bibi should stand trial for what he has done along with his fascist buddies. There were also arrest warrants for Hamas leaders vis-a-vis October 7, but many are dead. Though Hamas, despite the destruction in Gaza, still stands defiant.
Former Prime Minister Viktor Orban, because he supported the regime of Bibi, was going to take Hungary out of the International Criminal Court. Simply, because the ICC issued an arrest warrant for a recognised leader with the blood of the innocents on his hands, not unlike another Israeli leader in the Bible, King Herod.
There is a series about the House of David. How a simple shepherd boy, who brought down the giant Goliath with a simple sling and stone, David, became King of Biblical Israel.
Standing in his way is King Saul, a man drunk on his own vanity, out of favour with God on a mad, genocidal, forever war against real or imagined foes, whether at court or abroad. I just compared Bibi with Herod. I would also say Bibi is a modern-day Saul.
By proclaiming his opposition to Netanyahu, Magyar is one of a growing number of European leaders, both left and right. The Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, has declared his opposition to the regimes of both Trump and Netanyahu. Not only in Gaza or Lebanon, but also in this current war against Iran, launched on February 28 by the US and Israel. A ceasefire is holding in the balance and runs out today. The US has travelled yet again to Pakistan for talks with Iran to extend the ceasefire. However, Iran was not sure if it would join the Americans in Pakistan to negotiate an extension to the ceasefire.
Another European leader is Italy's Giorgia Meloni, who was bosom buddies with Trump, Orban, and Netanyahu. Now, she has announced her opposition to the Iran-Israel-US War. Whether she genuinely feels a moral repugnance to the war or is acting because she knows many Italians do not support the war is another thing. Of course, it could be both; two things can be true at the same time.
Now Magyar, like Sanchez and Meloni, has put his head above the parapet, in opposition to Netanyahu and Trump, Magyar will have to get used to the fact that he will be regarded as an enemy in both Jerusalem and Washington.
