NMACC inauguration
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) opened to a star-studded event. International and local celebrities such as supermodel Gigi Hadid, Tom Holland with Zendaya, Penelope Cruz, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra with singer-husband Nick Jonas, Rajinikanth, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh with Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra with Kiara Advani, and Saif Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor Khan, graced the event on Friday evening.
Nita Mukesh Ambani, the founder of NMACC, has expressed her vision for the Centre as a means to bring the community together through the arts. The Centre is a tribute to India's rich cultural heritage and traditions and is designed to showcase Indian arts and culture at its finest. With state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse range of programming, the Centre aims to make the arts accessible to all, promoting and preserving the legacy of Indian arts. The grand opening of the Centre was preceded by a puja on Ram Navami, attended by Nita and Mukesh Ambani, their sons Anant and Akash with their respective spouses Radhika and Shloka, and Anand Piramal, Isha Ambani's spouse. The event was graced by several renowned personalities from the entertainment and sports industry, including Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ranveer Singh, among others.
What is NMACC all about?
The objective of the Centre is to foster Indian arts and culture by providing a prominent platform for their expression. The Centre serves as a specialized, multi-disciplinary venue for showcasing the arts and nurturing new talent. A range of events, both online and offline, are slated to take place here. Inside NMACC
The Grand Theatre boasts a remarkable lighting system that can be customized, as well as a top-of-the-line Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System and Virtual Acoustic System. The latter has been enhanced with over 8,400 Swarovski diamonds to create a unique, multidimensional experience. The theater can seat 2000 people and includes 18 diamond boxes.
The Studio Theatre boasts a seating capacity of 250 individuals, and features a flexible stage, an integrated Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System, and an LED-driven theatrical lighting system. In addition, assistive listening devices are also available to enhance the overall experience.
Art House - It is a four-storey, 16000 sq. ft. dedicated visual arts space that displays the work of international and Indian artists.
The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation- A musical masterpiece by Feroz Abbas Khan, traces India’s journey through exemplary Indian dance, drama, music, art and more.
Indian in Fashion- Fashion exhibition with iconic costumes from all over the world, curated by Hamish Bowles.
Samagam/Confluence- Art exhibition celebrating the works of contemporary artists influenced by India.
