Whether you are rocking a brimmed sun hat or trendy clear heels, Spring 2021 is here, and now is the time to get your clothes, closets, and accessories ready.

Spring is the perfect season to put your fashion foot forward regarding accessories for women and men. Spring brings fewer clothes than all accessories to show without the bundled winter coat, scarf, and gloves.

electing the right accessories can change the drabbest outfit to a fabulous outfit in an instant, and this article details four accessories everyone should have in their closet.

Sunglasses

As an accessory, sunglasses create a vibe on their own. They reflect your style, mood, and how you feel. Sunglasses also protect your eyes from the sun and make your face look more symmetrical.

Sunglasses can range in price from $5 to over a thousand dollars. If you are prone to misplacing accessories, having multiple pairs of lower costing sunglasses will work for you.

Sunglasses come in an array of shapes that should match your style and taste like any other accessory. Things to keep in mind while buying sunglasses are:

UV Protection - a reasonable level is 100% protection which is excellent when the sun isn't that bright. The best level of UV protection is 400% which provides 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays.

If you typically lose sunglasses at the beach, brunch, or a friends' car, cost- again, do not spend a lot of money.

Brand - Like anything else, good brands cost more and are an investment.

Style - Choose a type that fits your face and if expensive, make sure they are a timeless style.

Hats

Once a winter accessory to block out the cold, hats are also the perfect accessory for keeping the sun from damaging your hair and face in the Spring. In addition to protection from UV rays, other benefits of hats are:

Protection from ticks

When the warm weather hits, you'll want to be outside soaking up as much sun as possible. Unfortunately, so will a lot of critters, like ticks. Hats protect you from ticks falling from trees into your hair.

Cover bad hair days

Making a hat an accessory not only prevents onlookers from laughing at a bad hair day, but a hat will also be your best friend if you chose not to do your hair.

Spring showers

Hats are more accessible to wear than umbrellas are to carry. Hats protect your hair from Spring showers.

Scarves

Scarves are the easiest ways to accessorize an outfit, and Spring is the perfect time to switch out heavy, warm wool scarves for silk, cotton, linen, or tightly woven wool. The beauty of scarves is that they serve so many purposes and many stylish wearing trends. They give an extra layer of warmth on cooler Spring mornings, can be bow-tied around purse straps to pull colors together, pulled through belt hops of pants and worn as a belt, or the authentic military shemagh scarf adds to a look. It can be worn like a regular scarf or transformed into a face mask when necessary.

There are many shapes and types of scarves, including:

1. The rectangular - oblong

2. The triangle scarf

3. The square - handkerchief or bandana

4. The infinity - circle or wrap

5. The snood scarf

6. The shawl or wrap

7. The blanket scarf

Sandals

Sandals are shoes with either upper straps or several upper straps that allow the foot to stay put on a base (sole). Sandals range from flip flops to multi-strap contraptions and enable the foot to breathe during the warm weather. Some benefits of sandals are:

1. They are accessible and need no prep to wear.

2. They are breathable and help control athletics foot or ingrown toenails.

3. They make summer activities like going to the beach more accessible and kick off flip-flops.

As we enter another Spring, the four accessories that everyone should have in their closet are sunglasses, hats, scarves, and sandals to keep them on trend for the warm weather of the Spring season.
