Greetings and salutations. I'm someone who has worked in fashion before as both a model and a consultant. Though the fashion industry is known for being very welcoming of LGBTQ individuals, the mainstream fashion world still has a lot of work to do in order to be fully equal.

If you feel excluded from the mainstream fashion dialogue, it's okay. You're not alone. That being said, there are some indie fashion brands that have made a point of being inclusive to people throughout the LGBTQ spectrum.

Want to see some brands that are LGBT-friendly, and inclusive for everyone out there? Check out the newest designers to show the world that fashion should be inclusive for everyone.

Seven Even Clothing is one of the top indie fashion brands to boast a love of LGBTQ people. Even the name alludes to gay rights, as the quote from their website says below:

"SEVEN REPRESENTSThe number of letters in the word, lesbian; The seven colors of the rainbow, ROYGBIV;The seven letters in the word, rainbow.EVEN REPRESENTSEQUALITY.Making up our logo, 7E!"

Their entire goal is to bring the feeling of belonging to the LGBTQ community in a way that doesn't involve over-the-top designs. Rather, it's about community and offering a lowkey way to show that you belong, regardless of where you are.

Love genderless clothing? Do you identify as a boi? You might really like Style Is Freedom, one of the sportier indie fashion brands to focus on boi culture and gender neutrality.

Genderless style and the tomboi lifestyle are at the forefront here, but anyone is welcome to try these clothes. All genders and sexualities are welcome here—and we're loving this look!

If you belong to a gender expression that's a little bit more boyish than femme, then you're going to love Butch Basix. This masculine clothing brand offers clothing, accessories, and pride galore—all with a nice touch of class.

Bois, studs, soft butches, and men of all kinds can find something they love in this brand. Anyone who wants to see epic #queerstyle will love this brand and the awesome energy they give out.

Currently reigning as one of the biggest indie fashion brands to cater to the LGBTQ crowd, HauteButch remains one of the most popular go-to brands for individuals who consider themselves butches, tombois, and studs.

That being said, almost anyone who enjoy s a little masculinity in their wardrobe can enjoy their wares—including non-binary individuals and cisgendered men. Don't believe it? Take a look at their designs and you'll realize why they're so popular.

By the way, when it comes to inclusivity, no one does it better. HauteButch regularly features models of a variety of different sizes and backgrounds—and you can actually apply to be a model for them online!

Flavnt is one of the most trans-friendly indie fashion brands out there, and currently makes some of the best binders out there. That being said, you don't have to be trans to love their gear, enjoy their look, and support the wonderful mission they have.

Tons of LGBTQ slang, body positivity, and upscale gear can be found on their site. If you're looking for streetwear that's LGBTQ-friendly and lets you show your pride, then look no further than Flavnt.

If you follow politics at all, chances are that you've already seen Wildfang in action. Along with being an extremely inclusive LGBTQ-friendly member of the indie clothing brands clique, this fashion line also has taken a very vocal stance against the Trump administration.

Their "I really care, don't u?" line of sweaters have been selling out. Proceeds of the shirt sales are now going to fight against the family separations that are currently happening in migrant detention centers.

Autostraddle is one of those rare LGBTQ-owned stores that walks that fine line between cool and geekery, and man, do they do it in the best way possible! They are the type of streetwear brand that you could feel good gifting to the girl who just had her first lesbian relationship begin, while at the same time being the type of brand you'd love to wear to flaunt your "cool person" style.

With cool retrowave-inspired gear and outspoken slogans like "gender traitor" on their shirts, it's easy to see why they are an impeccably awesome company for any LGBTQ fan or ally to wear.

Otherwild's LA-based sense of style is dedicated to helping people show their pride in their LGBTQ lifestyle. They are definitely worthy of being a part of your LGBTQ story, if only because of their bold activist designs and great style.

It's worth pointing out that their designs aren't just LGBTQ-friendly; they also are known for being great choices for anyone who takes a leftist political leaning.

Stuzo Clothing is not only one of the most LGBT-friendly indie fashion brands out there; it's a brand that's also owned by a QPOC power couple. Their dedication to seeing full inclusivity and giving women a way to show pride without resorting to tacky designs.

New school, urban, and decadent, Stuzo's clothing proves that gay fashion is awesome fashion. Seriously, their stuff looks amazing and ready for the club, 24/7.

Founded by a non-binary individual, Queer Supply makes a point of including anyone and everyone who doesn't really have a "place" in regular fashion. Their clothes are great for streetwear, gymwear, or just as a statement that says it's time to smash the patriarchy.

No matter how you look at it, Queer Supply remains one of the coolest indie fashion brands out there of its kind.
