The Difference Between Cruelty and Correction
Credit for Inspiration: Emily W. King) --- Pain Is Not Always Proof of Wrongdoing One of the most damaging confusions in modern relationships is the confusion between cruelty and correction. Cruelty is an act of contempt. Correction is an act of truth. Cruelty aims to belittle, punish, control, shame, or wound. Correction aims to bring reality back into view. The problem is that both can hurt. A cruel statement can hurt because it is vicious. A true correction can hurt because it exposes something that pride, comfort, denial, or fear would rather leave untouched. If the only standard is whether someone felt pain, then cruelty and correction become almost impossible to separate.

Men Are Not Afraid of Communication, Though They Are Tired of Punished Honesty
(Credit for inspiration: Emily W King) --- The Silence Is Not Always the Starting Point A common accusation in relationships is that men do not communicate. The complaint is familiar enough that it has become almost automatic. Men shut down. Men avoid hard conversations. Men refuse to open up. Men need to learn how to express themselves. There is truth inside that accusation when a man is careless, passive, immature, or emotionally absent. But the accusation often skips the more important question. What happened the last time he did communicate? What happened the last time he answered honestly, named the real issue, corrected the false assumption, admitted the painful truth, or said plainly what he had been trying not to say?

When Truth Has to Protect Her Feelings
(Credit for Inspiration: Emily W. King) --- The Unequal Permission to Be Right There is a quiet double standard inside many modern conversations about relationships. Women are increasingly encouraged to stand on what they know, trust their discernment, speak their truth, hold their boundary, and stop shrinking themselves to keep peace. Men, however, are often given a different command. A man may also be right, but he is expected to find a way to be right that does not make the woman feel hurt, exposed, corrected, dismissed, insecure, embarrassed, or emotionally unsafe. The result is not equality. It is a conditional form of honesty where one person’s truth is allowed to stand directly, while the other person’s truth must first pass through the emotional response of the person receiving it.

A few quick notes before we begin. This is part two of an ongoing story, so if you haven’t read part one, it might be helpful to go back and do so. This series is an ongoing story of how nature, druidry, and witchcraft helped pull me out of a mental health crisis and make me who I am today.

The Dopamine Trap
The "ding" was an electric shock. It came from her phone, face down on the table, but it hit her in the mind, a well-known rush of expectation. Sarah was in a coffee shop with a friend, mid-sentence, but her thoughts had already abandoned the conversation. What it if was that one perfect photo finally getting the attention it deserved? The thumb twitched, the conversation died, and the tiny screen glowed with the promise of a reward she hadn't yet earned. This wasn't a conscious choice; it was a reflex. Sarah's experience is not unique; it is a universal condition of modern life. We are all, to some degree, tied to these glowing rectangles by These invisible psychological strings. platforms are not neutral spaces for communication; they are carefully crafted environments designed to keep us scrolling, clicking, and returning, using specific principles of human psychology to create a powerful and often unavoidable feedback cycle.

You don’t ever get over it, you get through it!!!
CHAPTER ONE It’s like I’m falling, but there is nothing at the bottom. I feel like someone shot me with a shotgun. I wake up almost everyday with this constant sadness that I can’t explain to even myself. Like a bad dream, you can’t wake up from no matter how hard you try. I try to be strong. But sometimes you can’t hold the weight. Sometimes you just have to let it fall and let go? Do you ever feel like you don’t mean anything in the world? Like you are dust? Well. I have. Ever feel like you’re alone but you’re surrounded by people? Me? Everyday. I don’t understand myself or my own feelings. How can you make someone understand how you feel when you don’t even know what these are yourself? I feel like I’ve lost myself. A void that can’t be filled because you don’t understand what is missing? I feel like that everyday. I love my life and my kids, I love my family more then anything! Anything in this world. Some I wish they would have kept me in their hearts but honestly they can’t imagine what I went through and how I feel. And I’ve learned a hard lesson in life. No matter how badly you want someone to stay, if they don’t want to, no matter what you say or do they will do what their heart wants, not yours. And that is one of the hardest things to accept.

Hantavirus and the Fear Hidden in Quiet Places
Not every danger comes with noise or warning. Some risks stay hidden in corners we rarely notice, waiting quietly until the moment we cross paths with them. Hantavirus is one of those risks. It doesn’t spread through crowds or daily contact, yet it carries a serious impact when exposure happens. Many people search for hantavirus after hearing a sudden story or a brief mention in the news. But the real concern goes deeper than curiosity. It’s about understanding how something so small can affect everyday life. It’s about the spaces we trust, the air we breathe, and the unseen details that can change everything without warning.

The Mental Health Cost of The Cost Of Living Crisis
If only some piggy banks were this pretty. Some may not exist, while others would be smashed open into a difficult puzzle that cannot be put back together again. Sentimentality smashed like a Pinata by a bunch of sugar loaded little munchkins at a kids Birthday party. Beyond things being expensive (more so than ever, not sugarcoating this); the mental health ramifications of this prolonged cost of living crisis where sh!t is ever so real - where relief from such feels far fetched for some souls having to embrace this experience or adventure has to be talked about. Not swept under the rug. Even if your finances are not taking a back seat and you are doing just fine, that is amazing; yet in some way, shape or form it is fair to purport that the prolonged cost of living crisis and inflationary pressures are affecting the psyche and mental spirit of each and every pers0n.

Why You Feel Tired All the Time in 2026 (And How to Fix It)
You woke up this morning after a solid seven and a half hours. Maybe eight. And still—that familiar heaviness. Like your limbs are filled with wet sand. Coffee helps for about an hour, then the fog rolls back in. By 2 PM, you’re staring at your screen, reading the same sentence four times. By 9 PM, you’re too exhausted to watch a movie but somehow too wired to fall asleep.
