Who is Real Madrid's best player of all time? It must be a matter of opinion. However, there is no doubt that Di Stefano will always be among the best player options, both now and in the future.

With 700 career appearances, 513 goals and 212 assists, eight La Liga titles, five La Liga top scorer, two Argentine League titles, one Argentine League top scorer, four Colombian League titles, two Colombian League top scorer, one Copa America title and five European Champions League titles, Di Stefano's career statistics are impressive enough, Career is legendary enough. For 20 years, he was an icon of the entire game.

Alfredo Di Stefano was born in Buenos Aires on June 4, 1926, the son of a striker who played for River Plate before an injury forced a premature end to his career. Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful lands in the world, the wide La Plata River, the endless Pampas savannah. Such an environment resulted in Di Stefano's bold character and rich artistic cells. He had a stronger desire for football and liked to display his wit and art on the football field.

Di Stefano began his legendary career with River Plate in 1945 at the age of 19, winning the Argentine first Division championship with the team in his debut season. In 1947, Di Stefano helped his team win the Argentine First Division championship for the second time, scoring 27 goals in 30 games and becoming the league's top scorer. Di Stefano was also known as the "Golden Arrow" for his extraordinary speed and skill.

In 1949, due to the financial crisis of River Plate, D 'Stefano moved to the Colombian Football club Millionaires. During his time with the Millionaires, he won four Colombian First Division titles and was the top scorer of the league twice.

In 1952, Di Stefano came to Spain with the millionaire to take part in the 50th anniversary friendly match of the foundation of Real Madrid. In the game, he scored two goals to help the team win 4-2 against Real Madrid. His excellent performance conquered the scouts of Real Madrid and Barca. Under the personal mediation of Armando, the Spanish league president, the two clubs reached an agreement to alternate the use of Di Stefano, a deal that is now unthinkable. Real's legendary president Bernabeu was shrewd enough to find a former Real Madrid player, Sammitchel, to make a false assessment of Di Stefano, prompting Barca to abandon their co-ownership agreement and take full ownership of the player.

Di Stefano signed with Real Madrid on September 23, 1953, when he was 27 years old. Before that, Real Madrid had been held back by Barca, Atletico and Athletic Bilbao in Spain, and had not won the Spanish league for more than 20 years. You can imagine how painful it must be for a team with big dreams. Never in Di Stefano's previous era has a player been as important to a team as he has been. He is the saviour of Real Madrid. In his debut season at Real Madrid, Di Stefano scored 27 goals in 28 league games and was unstoppable, helping Real Madrid to defeat each other and completely reverse the decline of more than 20 years.

At the end of the 1953-1954 La Liga season, Real Madrid finally overcame the darkness of more than 20 years to win the championship. No one could have imagined that a great era was just beginning. During Di Stefano's 11 years at Real Madrid, the La Liga giants won eight titles under him and he was the top scorer in La Liga five times. In addition, between 1956 and 1960, under his leadership, Real Madrid won the European Cup five times in a row. As the first European Cup winner and the only team to win the European Cup five times in a row, Real Madrid's record has not been matched, and Di Stefano scored in all five finals during Real Madrid's five consecutive European Cup titles. Also at this stage, Di Stefano won the Ballon d 'Or award in 1957 and 1959, firmly establishing himself as the number one player in world football. During the 11 years of Di Stefano's service, the invincible lion of Real Madrid wearing the white robe was known as the "white hero", which created the famous "white terror" era in the history of European football and dominated the world football, and the "golden arrow" Di Stefano also became the "white emperor" in the world football. Until now, it has been widely accepted in world football that Real Madrid would never have become what it is without Di Stefano, who created its creed of winning the most titles and having the best players.

In 1964, after losing the European Cup final to Serie A giants Inter Milan, Di Stefano left Real Madrid for Espanyol with a whopping 396 appearances and 308 goals. In 1966, after two years with Espanyol, Di Stefano retired at the age of 40, ending a legendary career as the world's first superstar.

In contrast to his illustrious club career, Di Stefano's international career has been a troubled one. He went on to play for Colombia, Argentina and Spain. However, Argentina refused to participate in the 1950 and 1954 World Cups due to the war. After joining Spain in 1956, Spain failed to qualify for the 1958 World Cup and, at the age of 36, failed to play in the 1962 World Cup due to injury. A mere Copa America title and not even a single appearance in the World Cup during a 21-year career have been a source of lifelong regret for Di Stefano and a source of regret for fans around the world.

Di Stefano won the Ballon d 'Or award in 1989, was named the best European Player of the 20th Century in 1991, the best player in Real Madrid's 100-year history in 2008, and became the first player elected to the FIFA Hall of Fame in 2011.

Di Stefano's path to football is golden, with crowns strewn all over his path, and he has done more for a club than anyone else in the history of world football. Before him, there had been no real superheroes in world football. He is widely regarded as the first superstar in the history of world football.

On July 7, 2014, Di Stefano died of a heart attack in Madrid, Spain, and the "White Emperor" turned around in style with his legend at the age of 88.
