History
We’ve always been here
As someone who identifies as non-binary, it’s hard for me not to roll my eyes everytime someone claims that gender non-conforming folks are something “new”. There are people who genuinely think some liberal woke up one day and invented a whole wide range of gender identities. That millennials just decided one day to be different. The truth is that these gender complex identities have existed for centuries. We are nothing new, and have existed alongside cisgender folks from the very beginnings of man.

Childhood Memories: Trans Women's Experiences During Adolescence
In the quiet of a suburban neighborhood, where the sun set in soft shades of orange, young Ana played carefree with her dolls. From an early age, she felt she didn't fit into society's expectations. Curious and fearless, Ana ventured into neighboring fields, building elaborate sandcastles where she reigned as a brave princess in her own imaginary kingdom, dreaming of a world where her identity could shine without constraint. Her evenings were spent gazing at the stars, wondering if there were others like her who felt the same pull towards authenticity.

The Law of Attraction. You have probably heard so much about this already. Maybe you have watched The Secret (Dare to Dream)? Maybe you’ve heard every celebrity and successful person you know of talking about the very same formula. (If not - start with Jim Carey and the story about him asking for a hike as a kid. Then look up Helen Hadsell. Then perhaps J-Lo, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Anniston… they all openly discuss this. Athletes, Olympic medalists and their trainers… the list is endless.

For true change to occur, it is said that we must either go very far down a path of intense suffering (to find life’s truths waiting at the end of that arduous journey - when you will be in such a state of exhaustion and depletion that you have no choice but to change) or you must hear them from someone who you truly trust and who inspires you to change.

My Journey to Peace
My Excursion to Harmony: Conquering Forlornness and Embracing Confinement The quiet used to be a stunning thunder. It reverberated in the vacant spaces of my loft, a consistent sign of the isolation that stuck to me like a subsequent skin. Depression wasn't simply an inclination; it was a presence, a significant burden on my chest that gagged the delight out of life.

Destination tourism in Mustang
This piece is based on my recent visit and interaction with tourism entrepreneurs on the potential and challenges of tourism in the Mustang region. In January 2023, Mustang was included in CNN's list of 23 must-visit places, resulting in a surge in tourist arrivals. According to recent data, 426,964 tourists visited Mustang last year, with the majority being domestic tourists. Foreign tourists accounted for 90,356, of which 72,190 were from SAARC countries, primarily India. While Upper Mustang is known more for its adventure and cultural tourism, Muktinath attracts religious tourists. Both destinations have unique qualities that appeal to a wide range of tourists. However, the challenge lies in effectively promoting this destination to attract high-end as well as budget-conscious travellers.
