Old Me, New Me, Same Me
A Dyke's "Lament"

I never saw a dyke I didn't like.
Not always romantically, at least platonically, but likely enviously.
I love a dyke
Like I love myself:
Fully, and without judgment.
Yes, for even when I called myself a dyke (or others did without consent),
I knew we needed all the love we could get.
I'm more likely to get clocked as and called a fag these days,
But my heart will always belong to and identify with
The dykes.
For better or worse, it's a title I claim with
Pride.
