I won't give up

Your Walls

I can see the walls growing on the horizon. My fingers desperately clawing at the bricks, begging for them to stop hiding you inside. My voice, raw from the strength of my pleas, begging you to fight and let me in.

The tears leaving my eyes dry and my cheeks striped, your pain crashing into my body like waves to shore. I am so close yet so far

I fall to my knees, my hands shaking and my heart racing, and I let the fear shine through me like the sun through a canopy of leaves, I press my forehead against your wall, and remind myself that you will push your way out when you’re ready.
