Your trousers are open, vicar
At least I didn’t say it out loud

Your trousers are open, vicar
Sunday morning, church as usual,
we sat at the front, same place,
the vicar came close to say hello,
and there it was — his zip wide open.
Pale blue underpants showing,
just like that, right in front of me.
I whispered to my friend,
“Did you see that?”
She whispered back, “Oh my God, yes.”
He went up the steps to start the service,
like nothing was wrong.
My friend said, “Go tell him.”
I shook my head,
“I can’t say that out loud —
not to a man of the cloth.”
The church filled up around us.
Feeling sorry, I stood up,
walked quietly to him,
and said, “Excuse me,
your trousers are open.”
His face turned red,
he said, “Oh no, forgive me.
thank you for the tip-off.
I thought I’d be struck by lightning.
But I wasn’t.
I sat back down,
I left him to fix it.My friend tried not to laugh.
I told her, “I whispered it,
I didn’t say it out loud.
Ps to the lady who replied this is not a nice thing to write about, I agree no it wasn’t….Just to see this thing hanging dead like a strangled cockrel was most disturbing and traumatic for me. Iam however over the shock now. Thank you 😝😝
