I'm sad and demented
Trapped by bittersweet memories
Trapped and tormented

Charmed by your captivating sight
Immersed in your ever brilliant light
An addiction to you settled in one day
And grew stronger with each passing night

You shielded your mind; you protected your heart
Thought it as from past pain and you needed a new start
But as if already somewhere written in stone
You were there physically but remained emotionally apart

Through countless tears and promised lies, all hope has faded
You manipulated your way in and invaded
Now you act as if you no longer know
