They saw your kindness as an infinite resource,

An endlessly flowing and everlasting river.

They left you so depleted, feeling so low.

I knew that you were good since I first met you.

Others led you to believe their lies,

But they were blind to the truth.

You are brave and selfless,

Always saving everyone else's life.

You needed to be saved, as well.

You are strong and determined to protect others.

Yet you never seem to see,

That I am here to protect you.

You are the valiant eagle,

But I have the eyes of a hawk,

And I am always here to defend you.

You compared me to a dove,

With my fair skin and slender neck.

The symbol of peace? How could it be?

You never saw how I can prey like a hawk.

You have fought so many battles,

Always protecting everyone else.

I remain with you so I can guide you to safety.

I will light your way through the darkness.
