Your Eyes

A Poem

Your Eyes

No matter what you wear,

Your eyes shine through

In an intensive stare.

One that drags the watcher in,

To a fantastical swim

Leaving their head to spin.

Always soft, a little kind

Your eyes are thoughtful,

A key to your mind.

Never appearing twice the same,

A chameleon of colors,

Rotating in a complicated game.

One that is a mystery to begin,

No rule book in sight,

An even harder one to win.

What could be, the secret to your eyes.

Always too attentive,

Unravelling the societal disguise.

Maybe they contain two different hearts.

One with the material world,

And one where your reality starts.

"Maybe they contain two different hearts. One with the material world, And one where your reality starts." That is quite an interesting metaphor. I tried to visualize the eyes with two hearts. Honestly, it looks terrifying. Especially when you start seeing them pulsating and pumping blood through the vessels. But the metaphor is beautiful! Loved your poem!
