At what point did

now

become

then

become

an ancient memory

exclusively accessed

through feelings of

discomfort

insecurity

pain.

At what point

was I supposed to have

grown

from innocent child

free as the wind

swaying toward

whatever inclination

whichever motivation

to an adult in society

barred by the limits

set by ghosts

whose names I don’t even know.
