Your Bully Of A Dad
Bare knuckle fighter a bully he was

Your Bully Of A Dad
You stand with your dad,
like he’s some kind of king,
but I know what he is,
what he used to bring.
You call him gentle?
quiet, and wise
He built his life
on fists and lies.
He fought different men,
with bare knuckles,
didn’t care who bled,
left people broken,
left things unsaid.
You think he’s calm?
You’ve been fooled.
That man was violent,
cold… and cruel.
He hides his past,
plays clean and neat.
I still carry what he’d repeat.
I’ve got my history too,
but you don’t see,
you only see who he lets you be.
You praise his peace,
ignore my pain,
you make me watch it all again.
I’ve got my scars,
I’ve got the proof.
but you still stand
beneath his roof.
With who?
That man who swung
with bare-knuckle pride?
Or the father you made up inside.
