A Poem

By Dylan MorganPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Do remember the rain?

Making the cobbles ebony

The neon light from steamed windows

Softly lighting your cheek

It was calm and wonderful

No happier times

We had been friends

Crossing the town from bar to bar

I'd heard of magic and as your hand

Reached out and held mine

Like a silent promise

I indeed knew what magic was

Joy beyond words

I'd held you in my heart an eternity

Only time would be our master

The hum of conversation

Holding a thousand secrets

Tales of love and loss

The eternal longing

For a life

In which we are complete

A chance to grow a soul... x
