You Within You

A fierce force being, a wolf perhaps.

Loyal upon choosing, runs with his pack.

Full of tech, full of thoughts.

Full of things even he’s forgotten.

A broken memory, or a broken heart?

A broken soul, from a place close to start.

A man who loves me fiercely, in all my forms.

Opened his heart to me, gives his all to me.

Gracefully discerns.

Filled his pack with others.

It’s your turn to seek,

the light.

The right turn for,

the right life.

Now open your heart.

You inside you. Deep within.

I see you.

That light, that spark, that whim-

Sical feeling of you on board.

the ship we sail is one that’s not bored.

Intense. abrupt.

Opening up.

You inside you, you within.

Maybe this. Maybe that.

Maybe in between.

Maybe that uncertainty was born with you.

Breathes with you.

Each time you read your name.

But I see you.

Inside you.

I don’t play the maybe game.

Love to you feels different. Sees different.

But

Love is all the same.

Warm. Safe. Flooded with light.

Love gives. Love takes.

Love fills that space

Too close.

You inside you.

I’ve seen it light up.

It reaches the edges.

It overfills your cup.

You inside you.

Your light. Your face.

The only difference

Between me and you

Is all

this

fucking

space.
