Now and forever...

You're still with me...

I'm glad you spent your life with me,

a tale I often tell.

Of how you are still here to me,

and gosh, I miss your smell.

I miss your gentle voice it seems,

still I hear you in my dreams.

Wish I could have made you stay,

I'd hold you tighter everyday.

One thing that I'd noticed,

it was clear to see.

That I loved you so very dearly,

and that you did love me.

We were blessed with many years together,

but what I wouldn't give.

I'd offer up myself right now,

If that meant you could live.

Of all the things I'd like to do,

I'd catch a final kiss.

For though you are still in my heart,

it's you I'll always miss.

A breeze amongst the distant trees,

a knock upon my fragile knees.

On this road we walked together,

you're still with me, now and forever.
