You Can’t Glue Us Back Together
Once broken a relationship is hard to fix

You Can’t Glue Us Back Together
You can’t glue us back together,
The cracks are far too deep.
Promises once brightly made,
Are memories I keep.
Trust was built like fragile glass,
Clear enough to see.
One careless fall was all it took,
To shatter you and me.
The silence grew between our words,
Too wide to simply cross.
Love became a faded photograph,
Softened by its loss.
I carried hope for far too long,
Believing hearts could mend.
Some journeys end without a map,
Some roads just simply end.
No glue can hide the broken lines,
Nor make them disappear.
The damage lingers quietly,
Year after lonely year.
Still I choose forgiveness now,
Not because you’re right.
But carrying endless sorrow,
Only steals my light.
I’ll gather every broken piece,
And leave the rest behind.
Some endings teach us how to grow,
And free a weary mind.
You can’t glue us back together,
Though memories remain.
I’ll walk into tomorrow’s dawn,
No longer bound by pain.
If my words have touched your heart, and you’ve enjoyed my poetry, a small goodwill gesture would be deeply appreciated. Your kindness helps me continue doing what I love. Thank you for reading.♦️♦️♦️♦️
