You Are The Light of the world, My child

The Way and yes, The Truth

In spite of how you see yourself

Of this, there is no need of proof

You are the Kingdom’s light, my child

The savior of this world

You bring peace to every heart

When forgiveness you unfurl

You are a precious gem, my child

More rare than any known

Your spirit lifts on gilded wing

Higher than any bird has flown

You are as one with God, my child

You can never be apart

The love that springs from your own soul

Can melt the coldest heart

You are a gift to all, my child

More valuable than gold

And all will know that this is true

When the final story is told

Your light illuminates, my child

This world so cold and dark

For the flame that is the spirit’s fire

Your love provides the spark

*

Your gaze can heal the world, my child

The earth by conflict torn

When you recognize another soul

A miracle is born

*

You are the Light of the world, my child

I hope you now see true

I hope you now will give to all

This gift I give to you!
