She was the color of yellow, when he looked in her eyes

The soft gentle feeling, ensued by glorious surprise

The sweet smell of springtime, and dew covered flowers

A mirrored reflection, he'd get lost in for hours

She flowed like a melody up in his head

First soft and then vibrant, like a kite on a thread

The sweet, pulpy lemon, on a flaxen summer day

His eyes squinted with anticipation. as she wandered his way

His very own sunshine, his lovely sunray

He knew, no other colors, could make his heart stray

This is one way to see the color of Yellow.

  • Awww, this was so sweet and lovely! Such a wonderful poem for the challenge!

  • May you forever be yellow in the eyes of those you love, my friend..., ...though not in a jaundiced sort of way. (Sorry, I just had to.)
