Year the dragon sought death

Or Vlad the Dragon 'Dracula' and his garlic breath

Year of the dragon it seems

living true to form in 2024

as souls exhale gaseous streaks

causing blurred vision

infiltrating bedroom atmospheres toxically

its fiery breath colliding

against insides of necks so violent

choking each silently

as smoke hides in lungs

amidst doomed abandoned cavities

☠︎︎

A feeling even garlic

fails drastically to erase

something the infamous Dracula

could never dream to face

as the lingering remnants

would strike fear too strong to hide

among already squinting eyes

such as mine

tainting the skyline

against the foggy window pane

with droplets of regret

in the form of beastly reptile breath

Thanks for reading this piece about smoking cannabis in the Year of the Dragon 2024. Ironic, as I finally quit this toxic habit - the first month of this year!

This is so awesome! Congratulations on your progress and your journey!! It took me years to change my relationship with cannabis and I know how hard it can be to cut back. Also, I have to mention this just because it kind of ties in with that creepy moment you had of almost playing Terraria and then seeing my sleepy mission... SO, I work in a dispensary in Canada and like, two days ago, I was making a sign for our Garlic Sauce on the Rocks concentrate. On the sign, I put a cartoon Dracula running away from the garlic concentrate - your stanza about the garlic, vampires, and weed just struck me as super anecdotally timely, lol! Way to go! This was an awesome poem. Now I'm curious to see what other weird coincidences we have... 👀😂💗 I can't wait to read more from you!
