Write She Is

She got up early and She wrote

with tentative script at first

not with flourish

just a note

of sleepy-eyed transition to awareness

Her determination building over months

in all fairness

as She wanted out

She wanted air

craved fresh perspective

plus strong wings to fly there

She wrote of Her anger

and words bitten back

patience taken for granted and tightness made slack

She just kept

on

writing

cuz She was on such a roll

a precision-focused mission to rescue and reclaim soul

She needed this more

than She could ever explain

years past were no solace

dried and used pens the terrain

currently sat

one foot up

one foot down

pen flowing

heart knowing

no prerequisites for this crown

documented frustration after pages of elation

wondered what went wrong

She eyed the lines and filled the spaces

with anything that wrote

as in Her hand there were traces

of a life that had witnessed such complex things

and the trauma-laden chasms such experience brings

Her own vision blurred

as She wrote through tears

and Her hand visibly trembled when scripting those years

as long as it took to heal

to feel and reveal

She’d be more than alright

as vision with passion sought reclaimed sight

of all the possibilities

when their limitless potential opened up

remember life can always do that

trust the light rise up then pursue that

and question where power truly resides

the dream chaser or the dream maker

assigned pacer or risk taker

whose creative gifts stream with the infinite

so

write She is

and write She will be

words like breathing for visions to see

revealing impediments

the blessings fall free

the pens all divine as the writer is me
