Monday Night Wars

Part 2

Lets begin by speaking on what would become known as the Monday Night Wars by all; In the process starting up a modern day wrestling boon. The fans were the real winners while also becoming the new stars on our walls; Only wish it would have kept going since I believe it ended way too soon.

This would lead to the formation of the most influential stable of them all; The New World Order was formed from the genius of wrestlings biggest ever swerve. Was at Bash at the Beach 96' when the Outsiders announced they had made a call; Almost causing a riot yet still stood tall showing off their intense nerve.

In the match the faces were getting straight beatdown and brutalized; Then the biggest face of all time made his way on down to the ring. To once again get the spot light as the hero that saves the night; Yet in a quick history altering moment his actions would change everything.

Even his trademark colors and look changed off one heel turning leg drop; Gone was the bright red and yellow now replaced by the iconic black and grey. But the NwO was so over, always receiving the nights biggest and loudest pops; Despite fact their segments ended with a face covered with NwO by spray paint.

The NwO was the largest factor in making a reality of the brand competition; Add with that a home grown talent whose name I am sure you have heard. Gave WcW a believable face to use to counter the NwO's evil intentions; Someone the fans could get behind while they chant his name, 'Goldberg' 'Goldberg'.

That is 2 of biggest reasons that WcW would at a point become #1; Don't get me wrong, it helped that Eric Bishoff is also a certified wrestling genius. But it was the NwO that tilted things in WcW's favor until they finally won; I think until that time came that WwE did not take them very serious.

If not for an upstart promotion that was based out of North Philly; That showcased the skills in the ring as well as on the mic as only they can. Extreme Championship Wrestling or ECW that had all the talent to make it into a big 3; Plus the man behind the scenes, wrestlings best mind ever, Paul Heyman.

Not only having arguably the best mind to ever enter into the business; He also doubles down as the GOAT with promos and as best wrestling managers. The list of all the 'Heyman guys' goes on as if it is endless; From the 'Dangerous Alliance' to being the advocate for the 'Tribal Chief' he has bore every job description.

From Stunning Steve Austin morphing into Stone Cold with his help; To the hardcore legends Terry Funk and Mick Foley to Tazz, Sabu, or the Dudleys. He was able to create numerous stars out of the cards he was dealt; The most influential was the King of toke and smoke himself, RVD.

The 'Whole F'n Show' or Mr. Monday Night was more than just cool or to laid back; Capable of athletic feats attempted only by the lucha libre wrestlers at that point in time. Although pretty big, he was capable more than most to just kick your ass; He was a former World Kickboxing champion before wrestling in real life.

You had just as much of a chance for him smoking a blunt with you; As you would for him kicking your head clean off your shoulders. So innovative offensively that he became must watch tv for what he may do; Even spending time training the best of the elite, US soldiers.

One of many Hall of Famers known to be real 'Heyman Guys'; There is no shortage of stars that you could choose from. Revolutionizing the industry in more ways than can possibly be described; With killers on the roster from Red Hook to Da Gangstas took straight out the slums.

Thinking outside of the box, or should say the ring is only the start; He brought new styles to the forefront for the fans to watch and enjoy. Plus his use of music not just for intros also helped set him and EcW apart; Also helping to usher in merchandise sales with games as well as toys.
