A fallen angel,

From the highest mountains,

At the mercy of its smallest prey.

On the brink of death, it was.

With naught but a tale to tell,

Waiting for the path ahead,

Is worth shedding a tear.

Beauty, from its highest peak,

Fallen to the bottom of the valley.

From all its majestic flawlessness,

To the defaults of all man.

To be caged and tortured,

For all of eternity,

Is worth shedding a tear.

The innocence of one,

Lost at an age before.

Exposure to the world of hatred,

The blinding lights,

And the blindness that comes after.

A life yet unlived is branded evil,

Is worth shedding a tear.
