hear the words
in my head
it has me thinking
I did something wrong
even though I did not
in the side of my mind
my memory tells me you
are right again
keeps playing the phrases again
too many times over
and when I feel like it is too much
I give the words a cold shoulder
like a flame that keeps burning
regardless of the smolder
