Poetry about regret and hope

With all the things that could’ve been said

But never said when they should’ve been said

I run the mill in my mind of all things never said

Exhausting all ends of every possibility

On things that would’ve been said

And how those things would’ve lead

To other hopeful things to be said

In the form of words instead

of body language that said

I promise to rule with you

Until the end of the earth

Soaring on the love

That should’ve been done

But didn’t exist

Because of things that

Never, but could’ve

And would’ve

And should’ve been said.
