Won't you come with me

The mountains speak

Call for me by name

Their jagged tones

Hushed by blanketed snow

The silence of the gelid tundra

Carries echoed welcoming calls

The heart speaks

Calls for you by name

This thunderous beat

Neverending

The blue sky above proclaims: return!

Stone faces stand illuminated in the sun

Glimmering silver spotlights

Virid pine needles frenzy

Shifting in the winds of reconciliation

Won’t you come with me

Don’t ask; take my hand

Our path is flanked by rustling unknowns

Yet we’re safe beneath the evergreen canopy

Our hearts-the compass be our guide

The peak will allow me to roam alone

But you and I could call this land home
