Wisdom of the old hearts! a second version!
I need to honor her! Me, a wandering young soul and the careful and the ever-worried heart of a woman born a few years before 1900 and who carried the emblem of her family and love for God until the late 90s! I believe she passed away in 1994 or 1995, at the venerable age of 99 years old!

Wisdom of the old hearts! a second version!
She walked the world with searching eyes,
Her heart adrift beneath wide skies.
Yet in the dusk, a lantern shone,
From hands that prayed long years all alone!
The elder lived through wars and tears,
Through losses carved by passing years.
But still she whispered, soft and mild,
“God guards the steps of every child.”!
Her Bible worn, its pages thin,
Held faith that storms could not break in.
She offered it with trembling grace,
A gift time never could erase!
But youth, with dreams too bright to see,
Could not yet grasp such legacy.
She smiled, she nodded, unaware
Of all the love was folded there!
Yet seeds of truth, though left to rest,
Will bloom when hearts are sorely pressed.
And years will pass before she knew
The depth of love that woman grew!
Now older, still her spirit hears
The elder’s prayers across the years.
And knows her labour was not in vain,
For God restores what youth have let to wane!
Though she now dwells in Heaven’s light,
Her blessing walks with her each night.
And in her soul her voice remains:
“The Lord redeems all loss and pain.”
