Winter

Weather Poem by John Matthews

Winter, Winter it’s time you go

We are sick and tired of all this snow

Shoveling snow and chopping ice

This Winter has not been nice

Take your snow and pack it away

You have made an unwelcomed stay

Snow is falling this cold December day

Mother Nature, what do you have to say?

Shovels, Icepicks, salt, all put away

Thought it be warmer today

Instead, it’s cold and snowing now

Our Street is slippery and needs a plow

Don’t want to be out in this cold

Rita’s water ice is being sold

Is it worth to wait in line?

To have some lemon lime

Let us all not make a fuss

Because mother nature was nice to us

Boston and the northern states

Received more snow than this place

Now it’s over and Spring has come

Hopefully, it will last real long

Not looking towards another Winter

Last year was very bitter
