Winter Slumber

January 7th, 2013

Time to sleep,

We clean up and pray

We will awake someday

Time to dream,

At least we hope and think

It will happen in a blink

Time to sleep,

Stay in the world beyond

In the calm of a cosmic pond

Time to dream,

A slumber so deep,

In a place we cannot keep

Time to sleep,

The final quiet peace,

Head on down, or fleece

Time to dream,

Never to awake here

Yet we do not fear

The Spring Birth was magnificent,

The Summer Days were beauteous,

The Autumn Moments were, nice

But now is Winter Slumber,

Where our sleep

Leads to no more dreams
