Winter Haikus

From a loveless winter

By Matt B.Published 9 months ago 1 min read

I will never know

How could you leave me like that...

Now, it is raining

*

Red snow wets my nose

Scarlet drops burn over me

Inside, blood’s turned white

*

I am very cold

But don’t think for a moment

It comes from outside

*

Have my senses forgot

The memoir of your big hugs

Giving me warmth?: No

*

I felt deep blue eyes,

Minty scent, white words of love

...You?―Just a snowflake

*

I must be winter

For my eyes, they rain; my skin

snows and my heart melts

*

Snowflake: "Oh the heights

From where I fall to the ground

Aiming for your mouth!"

*

Will you think of me

When icy winds extinguish

All your words of pride?

*

I hope spring does not

expose the kisses and the name

I hid under snow

*

By cold of winter

And with cold tears that growl, I

Part from your cold love
