Winning Cycle?

Come for the free-spin, stay for the addiction

Winning Cycle?

Let it begin in the same place that it ends;

Trade-in your life for a cycle of lies, of dollars and cents.

Eternal days are found where the light is man-made;

The dawn and the night, overcome by the morbid reality of dreams to fade.

Gold traded for promise and heads lost for lack of reason;

Proving the lie - that money relieves sin.

Live out this moment, play like a king;

For when the last crown falls, you will only know suffering.

So, let it begin in the same place it ends;

When it's all over, you will come to find - you traded your life for a cycle of lies, of dollars and cents.

About the Creator

Jollyoddbod Poetry

Here I am, and here I'll stay;

Like the moon in the darkness that refuses to fade.

Clouds will cover, but cannot take from my reign;

Mark this as the moment that they realise, as they scoff with distain.

They fell asleep, I cannot be blamed.
