will the frost ever melt?
Photo by Annie Spratt on Unsplash

there was once was a spring

that led to a winter,

a bright summer day

that turned like a splinter.

like bliss turned to sorrow

in a blink of an eye,

like a sweet spurt of laughter

that turns to a sigh.

i once saw a spark,

could there be a flame?

if there wasn’t a spark,

is someone to blame?

will the frost ever melt?

are the sprouts in the soil?

is my pining like snowfall?

is it all fruitless toil?

be patient and wait

every winter will turn,

unless it’s not winter

yet my love will still yearn.

oh snow would you melt!

oh flowers emerge!

oh spring please be soon!

may our paths soon converge.

About the Creator

I write stories, because I live a story. No fantasy world will ever compare to the one we live in. I want to describe our world in a way that reveals the Creator's magic, and write fantasy world's in a way that illuminates our reality.
