Why be a dreamer?

When your dreams won't come true.

Why wish for the open plains?

If you're trapped inside the zoo.

Why be a writer?

If you're always getting stuck.

Why take that chance?

Why push your luck?

Why be an artist?

When you cannot afford to eat.

Why be an athlete?

When you keep taking defeat.

Why don't you stop?

Why do you continue?

How do you even do it?

With everything you've been through.

Why do you chase dreams?

I doubt you'll make it far.

Why do you believe?

When you can never be a star.

Until you're living in your dream.

Because that's what I love to do.
