Whose Wish You Hold

Which heart untold

By Amy ChristiePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

You thought you were alone,

unseen, uncared,

beloved by no one

expected with moonshine

eternal longing

to find home

in heart that wanted to stay and raise hope,

to keep and share a wish,

now, ever in sight

at peace

with eyes closed.

***

Decades of sleep took away hope

you lived on island, no emotions

stirred breeze inside your soul

connected to no one,

no fear,

you never lost,

and yet,

you never learned

what love

can give.

***

At home, inside the darkness

deep into roaming thought

tiny candle grew bold

it told heart

it was time to go on,

to find waves

away from hail and thorns

inside another's arms

home in spirit

and hold.

***

Why won't you let clouds come

descend and touch your heart,

they know the way

to new beginning,

they carry feelings

and the will

to try once more.

***

A second chance flies in the wind

will you take it to heart

pass to another land

a place where flowers grow

and hope was never gone,

where you still visit in your dreams,

you know the way

the road is yours.

***

Make that one bridge

end all regrets

in one forgiveness gale

you can look inside twilight

at the dawn,

no chance is gone

unless you've tried

once more.

No flight takes away hope

unless you don't trust wings

once more.

***

Now is the time,

to carry night, unfold

what could be yours,

what stays,

what you know of your peace,

share with another soul.

***

Find grace

in walking under moonlit skies,

there's no tomorrow

in dark hold,

make your sunshine

this time,

this hug,

this smile,

this happy place

your own.

***

Wishing upon each dawn

ending a flight into unknown,

one drop of tenderness

and soul.
