who's to say i won't float away

Sometimes I am fighting

with dry shampoo and tweezers

trying to prefect ideas that aren’t in my head to begin with

I was holding onto an idea for a long time

an idea that if I manifest

and that if I believe

that somewhere up above

would hear my thoughts in the crowd

that I would give them a headache

and they would grant my wish

perhaps holding onto things isn’t good

but if I don’t have anything to hold onto

who is to say I won’t just up and float away?
