Who's this letter for?
For my mom.
No one knows her as I do.
Only I witnessed her smile the way I do.
Only I saw her cry the way she did.
Only I see the pain she has to endure.
Yet, she loves like that's all she has.
She like spring to me, almost refreshing, I would say.
Her voice is gentle and soothing.
Her words are nurturing to the heart.
She's like sunshine; my sunshine.
Only she could find me when I hid.
But, unfortunately, she's too loving for her good.
Everyone takes advantage of her love.
She gives too much and receives nothing in return.
And yet, I never thank her for what she's done for me.
So, thank you,
Mom.

Doing it for the troops
The others dropped like flies around me. We fought and struggled to get to this point. I'm the only one left now. The objective is right there. A mere two hundred feet away. The last of my team got a bullet to the head right next to me, but I couldn't do anything. I was able to locate and neutralise the sniper as he shot my friend, so his death was at least not in vain.

They impress us, and sometimes they scare us, but the ultra-rich are always interesting. Some of their famous activities include buying yachts too big to move through channels, buying ridiculously priced cars that could feed the homeless of New York for weeks, and their expensive tastes in sex workers.
