Who is that girl?
Red splattered down her body.
Colors change to purple.
Lost.
Alone.
Hurt.
Green eyes overflowing.
She cannot hide.
See the way she moves,
Predicting the worst.
Watch as people stare.
Anxiety is spreading,
Melting down her body.
Divert thine eyes,
For she does not seek your attention.
Peace is what she seeks.
Silence,
So loud it hurts.
Ears ringing,
Memories haunting.
Pulses quickening.
What demons do you have?
Reach inside and feel her heart breaking,
Her pain becomes yours,
But only if you’re lucky.
Trust is not a right,
It is a privilege.
She does not seek your pity,
Just a friend.
With eyes that won’t wander.
Eyes that see,
The women she is,
Not the one you want her to be.
About the Creator
Lauren Dee
I have had very disturbing dreams my whole life. I write fictional short stories, rants and poems all based off of my experiences in life. They can be dark, but it's the only way I can get them out of my mind.
