White Heart

POEM

In the center of my chest,

Lies a heart as pure as snow,

A heart that beats with quiet strength,

A heart as white as dove's feathered glow.

It's not a heart that's easily broken,

Nor one that's quick to ache or yearn,

But it's a heart that's always open,

And willing to love and to learn.

It sees the beauty in the simplest things,

And finds joy in the everyday,

It's a heart that's pure, and kind, and true,

And steadfast in its gentle way.

It's a heart that's seen its share of pain,

But still, it shines with gentle light,

For the white heart knows that love will remain,

And that all will be set right.

So let your heart be like the white heart,

A symbol of all that's good and true,

Let it shine with the light of love,

And bring peace to all that you do.
