In shadows deep, where memories fade,
A heart once bright, now covered in shade.
The echoes of a love once near,
Now whispers lost, no longer clear.
Once vibrant hues, now grey and cold,
The stories shared, the dreams retold,
Are drifting far on tides of time,
A mournful tune, a silent chime.
Faces blur in twilight's grasp,
Names slip through like sand held fast.
The laughter shared, the tears we wept,
Are buried deep, where secrets slept.
A vacant room, a silent space,
Where once your smile lit up the place.
Now empty halls and distant cries,
Reflect the sorrow in my eyes.
I reach for you in dreams so faint,
But find an absence, cold and quaint.
The threads of us, they slowly fray,
As daylight steals the night away.
Forgotten tales, and loves once true,
Are shadows now of me and you.
In silent grief, I mourn alone,
A heart that knew, a heart now stone.
