Childhood wonder glows,

Innocence in each new day,

Discovery's light.

---

Time drifts in child's play,

Laughter bright, night's gentle sleep,

Moments like sails sweep.

---

A cardboard box floats,

In seas of dreams, it gently

Slips away, a ship.

---

Questions bloom like stars,

In the night sky's endless blue,

Dreams and wishes spark.

I loved the gentleness of this.

  • "A cardboard box floats, In seas of dreams, it gently Slips away, a ship." Very touching lines for me. Appreciate your great attempt!

  • This was well-wrought and an exceedingly beautiful portrayal of the innocent wonder a child can experience.

    I liked your poem.Well written.

  • The evocative imagery of glowing innocence, sweeping moments, and dreamlike adventures transport the reader to a realm of pure magic and discovery. This collection of haiku is a poignant and beautifully crafted tribute to the wonder and magic that lives within us all, no matter how much time may pass. Thank you for sharing!

  • Childhood is mystical and magic. Too bad is flies past so quickly and leaves us to only remember. Great poem. Made ME look back and remember.
